PATRICK DAVEY

Psychiatrist

Patrick is the CEO and Founder of Moai Health. He completed a BSc in Psychology followed by a PGDip in Broadcast Journalism, which initially led him to work as a BBC producer. Realising his true passion lay elsewhere, he left broadcasting and spent a year as a carer for autistic adults. He then pursued graduate medicine and has been a psychiatrist since 2013, training at the South London and Maudsley Trust.

Patrick met Warren during his
first year as a psychiatrist while working together on an adult inpatient unit. United by their shared passion for sport and mental health, they went on to found Off The Ropes.

Warren is the co-founder and director of Off
The Ropes. A former professional boxer and qualified AM/PRO boxing trainer, he has spent the past five years working as an Occupational Therapist within NHS mental health.

Warren met Patrick while working together in an NHS mental health team, where they first developed the
idea of using boxing to support vulnerable people. Inspired by programmes like Empire Fighting Chance in Bristol, Warren began running boxing sessions for his patients, which grew into the foundation of Off The Ropes.

Now leading the charity, Warren is dedicated to expanding its reach and impact, combining his expertise in mental health and boxing to help people rebuild their lives.
